Nature in all its beauty and shapes is a constant source of inspiration to me. There is so much beauty in the world around us. It's a wonderful process to be in communication with the natural world and to celebrate its gifts and being.

I also love to photograph people. I always look for a hidden layer, a true essence, the beauty and depth that every person holds.

Transitie lijkt het onderwerp van deze tijd. We hebben te maken met grote, mondiale gebeurtenissen en daardoor verschuivingen.

Deze serie met model Zsa Zsa is ontstaan n.a.v. een open call van Fotofestival Schiedam. Dit is een selectie uit de serie.

Transition seems to be the subject of these times as we are facing big, global situations and changes.

In deze oude foto's ben ik op zoek naar een persoonlijk en universeel beeld, voorbij de tijd en probeer ik een nieuw contact te leggen. Voor deze serie maak ik gebruik van afbeeldingen uit het Stadsarchief Breda.

In these old photographs I am looking for  a personal and universal image, beyond time and try to make a new contact.

For these series I use images from Stadsarchief Breda.

Close to you gaat over verbinding, contact en ons verlangen daarnaar. In dit project maak ik portretten van vrouwen en mannen die ik niet of nauwelijks ken, waarbij ik ontdek dat fotografie me in staat stelt iets wezenlijks van iemand te vangen, waardoor het contact zich verdiept. In de foto's zoek ik naar een tijdloos en integer beeld.

Close to you is about connection and our longing for it. During this project I am making portraits of women and men I don't or hardly know, where I find that photography enables me to capture something real in another person, by which the connection deepens. In the photos I look for a timeless and honest image.
